How to Get Semaglutide in 3 Steps

Start semaglutide from home: online visit, pharmacy compounding, delivery in about 3 business days.

PepHaūs Clinical TeamReviewed by the PepHaūs Clinical TeamOctober 17, 2026
Person completing online intake

Getting semaglutide takes three steps. An online provider visit, a prescription sent to a licensed pharmacy, and medication shipped to your address. The whole process starts from your phone and takes about ten minutes for the intake.

Is this you?

Is this you?

You want to start semaglutide but you do not know where to begin. You do not want to drive to a clinic, sit in a waiting room, or deal with insurance paperwork. You want the simplest path from deciding to do it to having the medication in your hands.

If that fits, keep reading.

Step one: online provider visit

Fill out a health questionnaire online. The questionnaire asks about your medical history, current medications, allergies, and weight loss goals. A licensed physician reviews your answers and schedules a telehealth visit with you.

The visit takes about ten minutes. It happens over video or phone. The physician asks follow up questions, explains how semaglutide works, discusses what to expect, and answers your questions. If the physician determines semaglutide is appropriate for you, they write a prescription and send it to the pharmacy.

The physician is licensed in your state. No automated approval. No questionnaire with no doctor involved. A real physician reviews your case and makes the decision.

Step two: prescription sent to pharmacy

Once your prescription is approved, the physician sends it to a licensed compounding pharmacy. The pharmacy compounds your medication to order. Compounding means they mix the active ingredient to your prescribed dose and concentration.

The pharmacy is licensed in the U.S. and meets federal and state compounding standards. PepHaūs uses a LegitScript certified pharmacy, which means it has passed third party review for safety and compliance. Your medication is compounded fresh, packaged, and shipped within a day or two of your prescription being sent.

Ready when you are. Ten minutes on your phone.

Step three: medication ships to your address

The pharmacy ships your medication to the address you provided during intake. Most people receive their first shipment in about two to three business days. The package includes your medication, dosing instructions, alcohol swabs, and needles.

Refills ship automatically on schedule. You do not need to reorder every month. The pharmacy tracks your refill date and ships the next vial before you run out. If you need to adjust your dose or pause your prescription, you message your care team and they update your plan.

What happens after your first shipment arrives

You follow the dosing schedule your provider gave you. Semaglutide is stepped up gradually over weeks. Most people start at 0.25 mg weekly and increase every few weeks based on how they tolerate it and how much weight they are losing.

You inject once a week, subcutaneous, which means under the skin. Common sites are the abdomen or thigh. The needle is small, the injection takes about 30 seconds, and most people get comfortable with it by the second or third week.

Your care team is available through messaging. Questions about dosing, side effects, or when to step up your dose get answered without you paying extra or scheduling another visit.

How long the whole process takes

From starting your intake to receiving your first shipment takes about three to five days in most cases. The intake visit happens within a day or two of filling out the questionnaire. The pharmacy ships your medication within a day or two of receiving your prescription. Transit takes one to two business days depending on where you live.

If you start your intake on Monday, you can have your medication by Thursday or Friday. No waiting weeks for an in person appointment. No driving to a clinic. The whole process happens from your phone or computer.

The real thing vs the rest

Gummies and GLP 1 pills are not the same thing

Some sites sell semaglutide gummies or GLP 1 pills and claim they work just as well as injections. Those were never in the clinical trials. Swallow semaglutide and about 1 percent reaches your blood. Inject it and about 80 percent does. Injectable semaglutide posted about 15 percent average body weight loss in clinical trials. A gummy cannot do that, not even close.

Stick with injectable semaglutide prescribed by a licensed physician and compounded by a licensed pharmacy. If a site is pushing gummies or pills, they are selling something that does not work the way the trials showed.

The real thing vs the rest

A gummy cannot do this. Not even close.

Weight loss gummies, so called GLP-1 pills and liposomal drops sold on social media were never in the clinical trials. Injectable tirzepatide and semaglutide were. Overseas research-only vials have no pharmacy and no physician behind them.

LegitScript certified

A real U.S. pharmacy vs the grey market

Overseas research only vials show up on peptide sites and forums. No physician wrote the prescription. No licensed pharmacy compounded the medication. You do not know what dose you are getting, and you have no one to message when something feels off. The price looks good until you realize there is no oversight and no recourse if the vial is underdosed or contaminated.

PepHaūs is LegitScript certified. Every prescription is written by a U.S. licensed physician. Every vial is compounded by a U.S. licensed pharmacy. You get a care team, dosing guidance, and support through the process. That is the difference between a real treatment and a gamble.
